At PKF, we’re proud to play a part in shaping the future of Australian healthcare. One of our most meaningful contributions is at the Sydney Children’s Hospital Stage 1 redevelopment — a cornerstone of the broader $1.5 billion Randwick Health and Innovation Precinct.

This $658 million project is more than just a hospital upgrade — it’s a bold vision for paediatric health. For the first time in Australia, clinical care, research, and education will be housed together under one roof in the form of the Minderoo Children’s Comprehensive Cancer Centre (CCCC) and the redeveloped hospital. It’s a facility designed to transform how care is delivered, discoveries are made, and future specialists are trained.

The entire facility is being shaped by feedback from over 2,000 children, families, carers, and hospital staff. This input is helping to create a space that feels warm, comforting, and family-focused — with private patient rooms, communal retreat areas, and culturally appropriate gathering spaces for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.

This level of collaboration ensures the hospital reflects the needs of those who use it most, promoting wellness and togetherness at every step.

The new facility will deliver a wide range of state-of-the-art spaces, including:

• A new Children’s Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit
• Inpatient and short-stay units covering medical, surgical, adolescent, sleep, and oncology care
• A Bone Marrow Transplant Unit and day oncology services
• Neurosciences Centre and Virtual Care Centre
• Laboratories, training suites, and a hospital command hub
• Public amenities and drop-off zones designed for easy access and family convenience
