John Hunter Hospital

The redevelopment of the John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle is one of the most significant health infrastructure projects currently underway in New South Wales. Known as the John Hunter Health and Innovation Precinct, the ~$835 million expansion represents a major investment in future-proofing healthcare capacity for the Hunter region.

The redevelopment introduces a new acute services building spanning over 40,000m² across seven levels, with additional basement infrastructure and a rooftop helipad. Once complete, the facility will significantly expand emergency, surgical, and critical care capacity.
