The STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) precinct at Brisbane Grammar School is a state-of-the-art educational facility designed to foster innovation and critical thinking. This precinct includes modern learning spaces such as laboratories, collaborative workspaces, and design studios, aimed at enhancing the educational experience for students.
Delivered by BESIX Watpac and designed by Wilson Architects, the $80 million development redefines how students learn, collaborate, and innovate. Spanning multiple levels across approximately 17,800 m², the precinct features advanced laboratories, design studios, co-laboratories, flexible classrooms, and a striking central atrium that encourages transparency and cross-disciplinary learning.
The design integrates sustainability, flexibility, and daylight-rich architecture, creating spaces that foster creativity and critical thinking — a benchmark for modern education in Australia.

PKF delivered over 9,000 m² of flooring installations across diverse environments, including laboratories, classrooms, corridors, and breakout spaces. The result is a durable, refined finish that complements the precinct’s contemporary design and reinforces its focus on innovative learning.
This project showcases our continued commitment to craftsmanship, precision, and excellence across Australia’s leading educational developments.
